Jenny and Andy held their beautiful wedding celebrations back in September 2011 at the stunning Blackbrook House near Belper, Derbyshire. The day’s filming started with the bridal preparations in the bridal suite provided by the venue. There is no sleeping accommodation as such at Blackbrook House but my goodness the room that is provided to brides on the morning of their wedding is just so nice and very tastefully decorated. A huge thumbs up there! While I was filming the preparations, Barry was making the most of the venue’s surroundings and of course capturing the grooms arrival in a friend’s Audi R8 – stunning looking car!
Everything about this venue is gorgeous. The food, the decor plus Lavinia the venue owner is hands on with every minute detail ensuring that everything goes to plan every step of the way. Jenny and Andy had opted for a black and cream colour scheme and an unusual cake – yes it was made up of several types of cheese made by the Cheese Cake Company – and it too was black and cream adorned with beads to match! Jenny is a huge Audrey Hepburn fan so each table was named after one of Hepburn’s films. I loved this theme being a bit of a fan of Hepburn myself.
The ceremony itself was lovely and included some very personal heart touching readings by friends and close family (the brides sister). Jenny herself had opted for a sophisticated up do where her hair had been carefully placed into a bow. How that was done I’ll never know but it was sheer brilliance! Jenny’s dress was stunning and was from the White Rose Collection, stocked by The Wedding House in Alvaston. It was made of silk with lace overlay in ivory. Jenny also boasted a pair of Louboutins which were just gorgeous – shoe envy there! Andy and his groomsmen wore traditional black tails to match the theme. Jenny’s bridesmaid, her sister wore a long black dress with matching satin shoes.
I’ll never forget the look of Jenny’s dad when he first walked into the room, seeing his two girls all dressed to perfection – it was priceless and said it all. He certainly was a very proud father. Photographers on the day were husband and wife team Becky and Neil Butterworth of Butterworth Photography – great photographers and we love working alongside them. So please do check out their work if your looking for a photographer!
