St Mary’s Church & Belmont Hotel Leicester- Wedding Highlights of Sally-Anne & John

Filming began with me at the brides house capturing the bridal preps. It was a 9.00am start and weatherwise the day looked set to being sunny and warm. Just nice for a summertime 2012 wedding. Sally-Anne was really calm when I first arrived and her mum was on hand with making cups of tea and sandwiches – most kind. Myself and Barry only met Sally-Anne and John at the wedding rehearsal a couple of days beforehand, as I’d been dealing with her mum and dad. Sally-Anne has such lovely parents who were very hospitable throughout. They really did look after us.

Barry went straight to the church to do the scenery shots and capture guests arriving until I arrived. John the groom did actually arrive late with Sally-Anne arriving first…. but we kept her hidden away until John had been whisked into church by the warden. St Mary’s in Humberstone is a lovely church where the vicar and the warden were most helpful particularly on the day. All in all it was a lovely ceremony. You could clearly see just how nervous the pair were, especially Sally-Anne when saying her vows. After the wedding it was a short drive into Leicester City for the reception at the Belmont Hotel just off New Walk.

Sally-Anne wore a lovely Hilary Morgan wedding dress which featured black embroidery. She had a silver and black crystal beaded tiara to finish her look. Her bridesmaids wore aubergine purple aline satin dresses. John and his groomsmen all wore traditional tails with complementing colours to match the Sally-Anne’s theme. It was lovely to work alongside photographer Joanne Withers of Nine Photos, based in Leicester who I’d been tweeting with for a number of months beforehand. I do believe she recommended us to Sally-Anne’s parents, which was very nice of her. It was a lovely day all in all and the dancing in the evening did not disappoint – we had dance offs, all the crazy dancing moves to certain songs.. it was full of energy from start to finish – well from when we left in any case.
